I also smell you, your strong yet fragile state
Luring me in, my weakness began to show
Like a lone, wild beast searching for a mate

When I see suffering portrayed in Renaissance art
I also see you, just as sublime and deep
The fine lines in our folds keep us apart

But when I touch the edges of my face, cold and rough
